The reality show filmed inside of a haunted house concept was revisited and stripped down to its bones nearly 20 years later by Hell House LLC and Grave Encounters, two films that sadly contain zero karate.Įvery Final Destination movie is dumb - that's why they're all so good - but Final Destination 3 is when the franchise really flexes its lack of brain cells. That being said, Halloween: Resurrection was released in 2002, and no movie from the early 2000s is cool. The film adds a ton of shenanigans to a simple premise, but if it had just let well enough alone, they could have had a cool movie. The basic premise of the film is that Busta Rhymes is producing a reality show inside the old Myers house, which is allegedly haunted thanks to the piles of bodies Michael has stacked up during his holiday-themed killing spree. Busta Rhymes does karate, there's an extended Pulp Fiction reference, and we're deep into "bands who don't exist" territory for the soundtrack, but this movie also has one really cool trick up its sleeve.

The tagline for Halloween: Resurrection reads, "Evil finds its way home," but it could have just as well read, "Evil is really, really dumb." Halloween fans can bicker about the best to worst of this long-running franchise, but this film is the unquestionable nadir.
